Sunday...

I have updated my website, adding more areas and making it easier to move around. I also added a new page that I am currenly calling "The Artful Life Studio". It is going to be an electronic zine of sorts where I can post all kinds of interesting things about artists, art studios, cool stores, great books, and anything else that I want. I am always "rsearching" new things just because they interest me, so I wanted to share that with others.

Bike week - We have made our reservations for Bike Week in Myrtle Beach. We are going to be staying right on the beach, so that will be fun. Of course, I am driving down in the car and my husband will be riding down on the bike. I will ride around the beach on the bike, but I don't ride on interstates or like to go fast. I am too girly for that. Plus, I hate messing up my hair and where would I put all my luggage and all the stuff I will buy at the outlets! My husband is cool about that and understands.

More Poe!

So many of you have liked my Poe collection - here is a link to my website. I took a trip on Halloween in 2005 to visit Poe's grave and home/museum in Baltimore and his other museum in Richmond.

Michelle Ward's Crusade No. 6 - Pick your poison

I just entered my collections in Michelle Ward's Crusade No. 6 - Pick your poison. She is such an inspiration to me - always coming up with great ideas and I LOVE her rubber stamps, especially the skulls!

My poisons (collections) are here!

My little brother turns 37 today. When I say little, it is only because he is younger than me. Little David Christopher is 6'5'' and big sis Mia is 5'2". All my family is tall except me.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Ideas

Wow, what a 1/2 hour of HGTV can do! I had just fixed a grilled cheese sandwich on my new Cuisinart Panini maker and turned on the TV to enjoy a late lunch. I had already seen the episode for the 2pm Midsomer Murders, so I decided to watch Decorating Cents on HGTV. I actually got two ideas from one show that I can use right now. The first was dressing two windows that are in a corner. I just could never figure out the bext way to hang curtain rods and what to do with the small bit of wall that is the corner between the windows.

The other idea was for a vintage chandelier I had picked up several years ago at a garage sale. I didn't want to re-wire it, but I didn't know what to do with it or how I would use it. Now this is a great idea. I just need to find some vintage cup and saucers, glue the saucers face down on the arms, and glue the cups to the saucers.

My Plath February didn't go too well. I did manage to read part of her journals and also read Lover of Unreason about Assia Wevill that was the woman Ted Hughes was having an affair with when Sylvia left him and eventually Sylvia killed herself. What is so strange is that this woman - Assia - had a child with Ted and six years after Sylvia killed herself by gas from the stove, Assia did the same thing. Except she also took with her the daughter she had with Ted. In her suicide note, she felt the child would not be treated equally by Ted and Sylvia's two children if he brought her up, and that she was too old to be adopted.

Hopefully March will be better for Jack Kerouac.
