Nate Williams

I was looking at the Urbanoutfitters website for some cool pillows. I came across this one...

by an artist I had never heard of - Nate Williams. So I surfed for some more information on him and it led me to his website - Nate Williams. I love this pillow and it arrived today from Urbanoutfitters. It doesn't really go in any of my rooms, so it will rest on my chair in my studio.

I hate that most of his prints are already sold out, but I am sure there will be more in the future.

I also found out about this artist from another blog - Mark Ryden. He isn't your everyday artist. My favorite is this one...

Happy Anniversary - Mom and Dad!

Happy 47th Wedding Anniversary!


They had met on spring break in 1961 at the beach. My father was going to Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC (all male at the time) and my mother was going to Limestone College in Gaffney, SC (all female at the time). A couple months later, they eloped - August 3, 1961. After they secretly married, they left to go back to the separate schools. But somehow their parents found out about the wedding that fall and it was decided that they should have a full wedding on December 29, 1961. These pictures are from that second wedding since there aren't any from the elopement. Although they celebrate both dates, today's anniversary is the one that is most special to them.


It is amazing that they only knew each other for a couple months, they have made it last this long!
